Community Child Protection Committee (C.C.P.C)
Gomoa Kwame Adwer is among the communities selected in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region of Ghana by UNICEF and International Needs Ghana to benefit from health and child protection programs. The Department of the School Health Education Program (SHEP) in the Gomoa East Education Directorate mandated schools within the District to form health clubs to ensure clean, healthy and conducive leaning environment for pupils. International Needs Ghana, a Non Governmental Organization supported SHEP with Child Protection Programs in the year 2014. Mr Richard Koomson the Chairman of the Community Child Protection Committee (C.C.P.C) and Prince Amoako the coordinator of the School Health and Child Right Club, the entire staff and members of the community warmly welcomed the project.
Though the School Health and Child Right club and the community child protection committee (C.C.P.C) are independent bodies, but operate on the same ground to achieve a common goal.
However, the project has been integrated in other to achieve it aims and objectives.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHOOL HEALTH AND CHILD RIGHT CLUB AND THE COMMUNITY CHILD PROTECTION COMMITTEE.
1. To cooperate with parents/guardians to provide children with safe and healthy environment to meet their emotional, social and physical needs.
2. To create a conducive environment to make children happy, exciting and comfortable at school and at home.
3.To promote respect for self and others whiles responsibilties and socail skillsare both enhance and encouraged.
4. To offer guidance to the individual children based unpon each child's needs.
5. To provide quality services to parents/guardians, children and other stakeholders during our program hours.
VISION OF THE HEALTH CLUB AND THE C.C.P.C
To make pupils an agent of change and responsible citizens among their peers in the school environment and at home in the larger community.
